We'd also have to say that 'food' starting with E is just too vague to guess at.

As for other E fruits, there's Elephant Apples, which describes two types of fruit.
The first Elephant Apple is Dillenia Indica, commonly found in India, Bangladesh and around there. Wikipedia has a light reading article here.
The second Elephant Apple is Limonia acidissima, commonly found, again, in India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Wikipedia also has a light reading article here..
Other fruits are: Eastern May Hawthorn, Emu Apple, and Emu Berry. These fruits are highly localized and are rarely on sale outside of their growing area.
