can you cook a frozen beef roast in a crockpot

Our Comments:

We've never had a problem with using frozen meat in our slow cookers. BUT, we don’t' use any of our older slow cookers (we own 10), we always 'prime' the insert with a cup or so of warmish hot water, and we rarely, rarely cook on 'high' for a short period of time. Start it up on "low" in the morning, and eight to ten hours later, you should have a marvelously done piece of meat.

Of course, if you're still unsure of this method of cooking, then thaw your meat and then put it in the slow cooker with a bit of extra fluids to keep the meat moist.
