Ginger is a tuber that either is cooked separately as a delicacy; it's a medicine or it's a spice. Pretty useful stuff all around.

We don't have a specific category for ginger, mainly because we've considered it a spice or a flavoring.

However, once we had a closer look, maybe we should reconsider, and put it on our 'to do' list.
